Chris Diodato, CFA, CMT, CFP
Chris is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of WELLthPro Advisor Services. He began his career as an investment analyst specializing in asset allocation and due diligence, providing research and custom strategies for other advisors and hedge funds. An enthusiastic student of markets, Chris honed his skills, completing the rigorous programs to attain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations by age 29. He climbed the ranks to become the lead portfolio manager for an independent advisory firm in Pittsburgh, charged with strategy development and portfolio management for the firm’s $200 million book of business.
Chris’s mind rarely took breaks, publishing algorithms to win the Charles H. Dow Award in 2019 for his seminal work, “Making the Most of Panic,” which proposed quantitative methods to identify extreme negative sentiment within equity markets as well as the often coinciding buying opportunities during market panics. In 2020, he began WELLth Financial Planning as a consulting firm to deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies to those hailing from Generations X and Y. This is also when he begun his first outsourced CIO relationship.
Chris created WELLthPro in 2025 as a platform for small- and mid-sized RIAs to access all the benefits of having an in-house Chief Investment Officer at a fraction of the price of hiring or TAMPs. From cutting-edge investment strategies to custom portfolio construction and proposal generation and automations, WELLthPro delivers excellence for firms ready to ignite their growth.
